will you join us to end covid for all?

Today is World Humanitarian Day, and our world is facing a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions: the COVID-19 pandemic. As we’ve seen in Australia, it has never been more important to tackle COVID-19 together.

While Australia has one of the world’s best healthcare systems (despite the entrenched discrimination that many of us - womxn, trans and non-binary folk included - experience), many of our neighbours around the world are ill-equipped for a pandemic. Across the world, those most vulnerable to COVID-19 have the least resources to manage - largely due to impacts of colonisation, imperialism and natural resource depletion from capitalism.

Just like the movement towards gender equality is not over until there's justice, liberation and equality for all, the end of COVID-19 is not over, until it's over for everyone.

And the One Woman Project is joining the call to #EndCOVIDForAll

 Here’s how to get involved:

  1. Post a selfie photo sharing why you care (you can use these great filters across Facebook or Instagram). Remember to tag us @onewomanproject and use the #EndCOVIDForAll hashtag so that we can share your photo!

  2. Sign the pledge to #EndCOVIDForAll and show solidarity with folks around the world facing this health crisis.

  3. Attend an online event on the importance of ending COVID-19 for all and further actions you can take: The Australian International Development Network kicks off online at 3PM AEST, and Global Citizen kick off at 5PM AEST today.

  4. Donate to the Plan International COVID-19 Emergency Appeal.

  5. Read about the impacts of COVID-19 across the globe.

Join us, because this doesn’t end for anyone until it ends for everyone.
