In July each year, the One Woman Project’s Queensland team hosts their largest annual event, the Brisbane Feminist Festival!

The Brisbane Feminist Festival is a one-day event filled with interactive panel discussions, up-skilling workshops, exhibitors and stall holders, and discussion circles all focused on one thing: starting the conversation about feminism in Brisbane.

In 2018, the Brisbane Feminist Festival saw workshops on creating beeswax wraps through to tackling capitalism from a feminist lens, through to panels on deconstructing masculinity to racism in the feminist movement.

The largest feminist festival in Australia returns for 2019 and it will be more intersectional, engaging and ambitious than ever before! This year the Brisbane Feminist Festival will be on an extra special day for us at the One Woman Project, our FIFTH birthday!
Our birthday feminist spectacular will bring you speakers, workshops, performances, panels, food trucks, engaging discussions, stalls, installations, art, entertainment and so much more!  Some of the phenomenal speakers are listed below:

Tickets are available now and selling fast, get in quick to save on your ticket to the best day of feminism this year! Full schedule below (is subject to change).

Full information about each of the sessions and speakers will be released on an ongoing basis between now and the festival; keep a keen eye here and on the Facebook event for these details.

I loved the diversity of the speakers and the topics. It was so refreshing to see so many different marginalised voices getting a chance to be seen and heard - I can’t thank you enough!
