In July each year, the One Woman Project’s Queensland team hosts their largest annual event, the Brisbane Feminist Festival!

The Brisbane Feminist Festival is a one-day event filled with interactive panel discussions, up-skilling workshops, exhibitors and stall holders, and discussion circles all focused on one thing: starting the conversation about feminism in Brisbane.

In 2018, the Brisbane Feminist Festival saw workshops on creating beeswax wraps through to tackling capitalism from a feminist lens, through to panels on deconstructing masculinity to racism in the feminist movement.

The largest feminist festival in Australia returned for 2019 and as more intersectional, engaging and ambitious than ever before! This year the Brisbane Feminist Festival was held on the One Woman Project’s FIFTH birthday!
Our birthday feminist spectacular brought speakers, workshops, performances, panels, food trucks, engaging discussions, stalls, installations, art, entertainment and so much more!

Keep an eye out for next year’s 2020 Feminist Festival!

I loved the diversity of the speakers and the topics. It was so refreshing to see so many different marginalised voices getting a chance to be seen and heard - I can’t thank you enough!
